Lu Beads Studio was set up in 2002 in China, we specialize in New Chevron beads,Millefiori Glass Beads, Blown Glass Beads, Handmade Lampwork glass beads, and other handmade glass accessores. Our products are very similar to Venetian glass beads,not just looklike, but also quality. To surpass venetian glass is our dream. we are aiming for more creative glass item.

Lubeads chevron beads are made from moulded star canes like Venetian chevron beads. Which have well-formed star patterns and are imitating Venetian beads.
Venetian chevron beads are drawn beads, made from glass canes which are created in specifically constructed star moulds. The first chevron beads were made towards the end of the 15th century, consisting of 7 layers of alternating colours. They usually have 6 facets. Unlike their later counterparts they were not always made with the standard 12-point star mould. By the beginning of the 20th century, 4 and 6-layer chevron beads appear on various sample cards. According to records kept at the Societa Veneziana Conterie of Murano, they stopped making chevron canes during the 1950s. Chevron beads are still being made in Venice today, albeit in very small quantities only. ( according to wikipedia information)

Millefiori  is a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glassware.The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers). A. Pellatt (in his book "Curiosities of Glass Making") was the first to use the term "millefiori", which appeared in the Oxford Dictionary in 1849. The beads were called mosaic beads before that time. While the use of this technique long precedes the term millefiori, it is now frequently associated with Venetian glassware.( according to wikipedia information)
